The social media giant, now under the ownership of Elon Musk and rebranded as X (formerly known as Twitter), is cooking up some exciting changes. In a meeting with investors, CEO Linda Yaccarino spilled the beans about their upcoming subscription plans. They’re revamping the current X Premium, which used to be Twitter Blue for $8 per month, into three flavors: Standard, Plus, and Sic.

Elon Musk is introducing a modest monthly fee for users of the X to tackle bot-related issues and address a dip in revenue. This move aims to ensure a smoother experience for genuine users while safeguarding against disruptive automated activity.

As per a recent Bloomberg report, the fresh three-tiered subscription plan is set to help the social media giant earn from users who might not have considered paying for the full premium subscription. This way, more people can enjoy the perks without feeling the pinch in their pockets.

Recently, during a chat with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Elon Musk dropped a hint that X might introduce a nominal monthly fee for all users. The aim? To tackle the issue of pesky bots and ensure a smoother experience for everyone.

Recently, a diligent researcher delved into the code of the newest version of app X and uncovered an intriguing detail. It appears that the three subscription tiers can be distinguished by the frequency of ads displayed to users. According to the astute @Aaronp613, the X Premium Basic plan will present full ads, the X Premium Standard will offer half, and the X Premium version will treat users to an ad-free experience.

In India, if you’re considering Twitter Blue, it’s ₹900 every month whether you’re using it on Android or iOS. If you’re on the web, it’s ₹650 a month. Or, if you’d rather not worry about it every month, you can choose the yearly plan at ₹6,800 if you’re using it on the web. Now, for Twitter X on iOS and Android, the yearly subscription comes at ₹9,400.
