what fraudsters may say:

Be cautious, because scammers will often make deceptive phone calls in an attempt to swindle your money. ICICI Bank has even provided some insight into what a scammer’s call might sound like. They could use phrases such as, ‘Hello, this is Smriti Dey calling from ICICI Bank with Employee ID 123456. We’ve identified your ICICI Bank Credit Card as eligible for an upgrade. To increase your card’s credit limit, we just need your card number, CVV, and OTP. Can you please provide those details?’

Stay vigilant!

– Your bank will never request your online banking details like OTP (One Time Password), Card Number, or CVV. If you ever get such a request, don’t comply! Instead, contact your bank immediately.
– Your bank will never ask for your personal information.
– Your bank will never instruct you to transfer money to a different account for any reason.
– Your bank will never demand a fee for processing a loan or refund.

“Whenever you come across scams, remember that they like to create a sense of rush, hoping you’ll make quick decisions without thinking. They might claim that your bank account is at risk, urging you to act swiftly. Remember, don’t let urgency cloud your judgment,” it advised.”
