Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh, and Rhythm Sangwan formed an impregnable triad, deciding the gold order in the women’s 25m dynamo platoon event at the Asian Games on a remarkable Wednesday.

Manu, Esha, and Rhythm combined their efforts to score 1759 points, securing the top spot on the podium and earning the country its fourth gold medal in this thrilling sporting event.

The Chinese team bagged the silverware with a total score of 1756, while the South Korean shooters secured the third spot with a combined score of 1742. This victory followed just moments after another trio of Indian shooters delivered a stellar performance, earning a podium finish in the women’s 50m rifle 3 position event.

Ashi Chouksey, Manini Koushik, and Sift Kaur Samra teamed up to accumulate an impressive 1764 points during the qualification round, securing a well-deserved second place on the podium.

The host nation, China, clinched the gold with an outstanding combined score of 1773, while South Korea secured the bronze with a total score of 1756.

Samra and Chouksey showcased their skill by qualifying for the finals, finishing in second and sixth places respectively. Unfortunately, Kaushik concluded her individual event in the 18th position.

Notably, Sift’s exceptional performance earned her a total score of 594, setting a new joint Asian record in the qualifying round.
