This is a golden occasion because it’ll ameliorate the fiscal condition of the workers and give them a more comfortable terrain.
A board indirect to General directors and Chief executive Officers of All India Railroads and product units dated October 23, 2023, said,”. the President is pleased to decide that the honey allowance outstanding to road workers will be increased.”
The current rate of introductory pay has been increased from 42 to 46 from July 1, 2023.
Then’ introductory Pay’ is defined as the pay entered as per 7th CPC Recommendation accepted by the Government but doesn’t include any other period of pay like special pay etc.
That is, the’ Basic Pay’ mentioned then represents The payment that the hand typically receives, banning other special allowances or examens. workers will get increased DA arrears from July, the board took this decision.
This decision has been ate moment by Shiv Gopal Mishra, General Secretary of All India Railwaymen’s Federation. He said that with this decision the workers are getting their rights, because DA was to be entered from July itself. For this he appreciated the decision of the board.
According to PTI report, getting a payment hike indeed before Diwali is a happy occasion. M Raghavaiah, general clerk of The National Federation of Indian Railwaymen, said the DA payment is grounded on the Consumer Price Index and is aimed at controlling affectation.
” The increase in payment of DAs should be blazoned by the Railway Board from time to time, and it’s good that this increase has happed on time,” he was quoted as saying by the agency. still, we’re awaiting an increase in the payment” of DAs from January 2020 to June 2021.

For 2022- 2023, the Finance Ministry has limited the height of non-productivity linked perk, i.e. ad- hoc perk, to ₹ 7,000 for central government workers.
According to a Finance Ministry memorandum,’ C’ Group workers have been given anon-productivity linked perk, i.e. ad- hoc perk, equal to 30 days’ stipends for the account time 2022- 23. Whereas’ Group B’ also includes all non-gazetted workers, who aren’t covered under any productivity linked perk scheme.
