Conway scored 152 * runs in 121 balls and Ravindra scored 123 * runs in 96 balls. Meanwhile, Sam Curran took one gate for England. principally, Matt Henry taking three lattices helped New Zealand defend 282/9 in 50 overs. Glenn Phillips and Mitchell Santner took two lattices each.
Also, New Zealand won against Netherlands by 99 runs to win two out of two matches. Chasing the target of 323 runs, Netherlands were all out for 223 runs in 46.3 overs. Mitchell Santner was in tremendous form and took five wickets for New Zealand. Meanwhile, Matt Henry completed his feat of taking three wickets.
Colin Ackerman scored 69 runs in 73 balls for the Dutch. Basically, New Zealand scored 322/7 in 50 overs thanks to Will Young’s 70 off 80 balls. Bangladesh’s first two matches :
Bangladesh, on the other hand, have been erratic and started World Cup 2023 with a six-wicket loss against Afghanistan. Chasing the target of 157, Bangladesh reached 158/4 in 34.4 overs as Nazmul Hossain Shanto (59*) scored a crucial half-century and Mehdi Hasan (57) did the same.
For Afghanistan, Fazalhaq Farooqui, Naveen Ul-Haq and Azmatullah Omarzai took one wicket each. Earlier, with the help of Mehdi’s three wickets, Afghanistan team was all out for 156 runs in 37.2 overs. Shakib Al Hasan and Shoriful Islam took one wicket each for Bangladesh.
But at the same time Bangladesh had to face a heavy defeat by 137 runs against England in their upcoming tournament. Chasing 365, they were all out for 227 in 48.2 overs, despite half-centuries from Liton Das (76) and Mushfiqur Rahim (51). Reece Topley took four wickets for England. England scored 364/9 in 50 overs, with Dawid Malan (140) scoring a century, Joe Root (82) and Jonny Bairstow (52) scoring important half-centuries. For Bangladesh’s bowling department, Mehdi took four wickets, with Shoriful taking three wickets.
