South Africa’s matches so far :

South Africa, which has been in excellent form so far in the World Cup, has sounded alarm bells for the opposing teams. Now it will try to further strengthen its position by registering a commanding lead over Netherlands on Tuesday. In the last two matches, South Africa showed that this time they have come with the intention of removing the tag of succumbing to pressure. In the first match in Delhi, they scored a record score of 428 runs for five wickets against Sri Lanka and won by 102 runs.

After this, five-time champion Australia lost in Lucknow, while the teams of Australia and England are not playing according to their conditions, while South Africa has performed strongly in every department. Wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock, top-order batsman Rassie van der Dussen and Aiden Markram have impressed. All three scored centuries against Sri Lanka while Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller also played useful innings.

Their bowlers were not that effective against the Sri Lankan batsmen but bounced back in the upcoming match against Australia. De Kock scored his alternate consecutive centuries while Marco Jensen and Kagiso Rabada were effective in bowling. South Africa won the match by 177 runs. South Africa will be eyeing big stakes against the Netherlands. Netherlands had caused concern by defeating England at Lord’s in the T20 World Cup 2009.

The team led by Scott Edwards would like to get relief from that situation but there is a world of difference between T20 and ODI matches. Well, caution is justified and Afghanistan demonstrated this recently by defeating defending champions England in Delhi.
